General Information

Seoul
Located along the Hangang River, the capital city Seoul has grown into a teeming metropolis with a population of more than 10 million. Over the years, the capital city of has greatly expanded in the process of urbanization and industrialization and continues to grow as the thriving center of the country's political, economic, cultural and educational activities.

Seoul is the world's 10th-largest city. Its past and present coexist in a fascinating way; centuries-old palaces, city gates, shrines, gardens and priceless art collections attest to the city's illustrious past, while the glistening facades of soaring skyscrapers and the bustling traffic represent its vibrant present.

Weather / Time
The temperature during the time of meeting in Seoul varies from 14 to 24℃.
The time in Korea is nine hours ahead of Greenwich Mean Time (+9 hours GMT/UTC).

Currency / Credit Cards
The unit of currency in Korea is Won. The exchange rate is approximately 975 Korean Won (￦) to US Dollar (US $) 1.00 as of April 2008. Major credit cards are also acceptable at most hotels and restaurants. Currency exchange offices are located in local banks, at airports and at hotels.

Electricity Supply
The standard voltage in Korea is 220 volts AC, 60 Hz with a round two-pin plug. Always check the power supply before using your equipment.

Business Hours
Most offices are open 9 am to 6 pm from Monday to Friday. Banks are from 9:30 am to 4:30 pm on weekdays.
